"I've never bought any trimmers specific to the 'below the belt' area, but compared to scissors or regular trimmers, this shaver is much better. It's lightweight and cordless, so it's more maneuverable and there's no interference from a cord. The anti-nick blade works wonders, preventing accidental cuts or tugs. Actually, after using it so far, I don't even worry about that anymore. Also, the fact that it's waterproof is a great feature, and I was a little surprised that it worked in the shower.
