Nov 3, 2017 · And the Maus' gun may be old but it was still the most capable 12.8cm gun of its time and could probably damage or destroy a modern tank if shot into its sides or rear. Of course a modern tank gun would go clean through an entire Maus, so the advantage is still there. Composite armor is pretty tough stuff vs kinetic penetrators.

The Maus, in my opinion, is an excellent tank, but unfortunately not much else think the same. Nevertheless, here are some of the things I've learned while playing it:

Jan 11, 2022 · The Maus can definitely tank shots better but desperately requires supporting teammates to prevent itself from getting surrounded, it dies quickly that way. E100 is a tiny be more agile and hits faster and harder, so it can better hold its own in a 1v1.

If a maus sized vehicle was made today it would pretty much be a Merkava but slightly bigger. Modern composites in comparable RHA thickness are ridiculously thick. The Maus was so heavy because it also had very thich side, rear and top armor too. Reply reply dirtyoldbastard77 •

Dec 10, 2023 · It’s a meme tank, very fun to use in downtiers, but uptiers are hell and you get bombed CONSTANTLY because you’re a Maus the size of house lol. If you’re that close to getting it I would say go for it, don’t expect it to OP af though. It can be fun but you have to position it right and get lucky sometimes.

Feb 10, 2023 · The maus is in fact the rarest tank in game but it will spawn in the excavation mission during events (Easter, Halloween and Christmas)...got six of them this way.

Aug 1, 2018 · Getting back to the game, the Maus does have some uses, but only as a late game fort buster. That being said, using heavy artillery divisions with bombers is probably more cost effective than making Maus tanks, so I'd therefore advise against building it.
