Nov 5, 2024 · Lamelo has a TS % of 62.3% this season with a usage of 35.1%. Compare that to Luka with TS % of 51.2% with a usage of 34.2%. Cade is at 58.5% for TS and 31% usage. Lamelo is taking on much of a bigger workload than Cade and putting up better shooting numbers than Luka. That's not a poor man's anybody.

Jan 31, 2025 · Btw Melo turns the ball over at an ungodly rate as well, ast:to ratio below 2, that's pretty bad for a wing player. I think the best argument was the fan vote and entertainment factor, but statistically, other than basic counting stats, Melo has no argument nor does Trae.

He's 16th in VORP and outside of top20 in EPM overall value in the East. Wagner averages 25-5-5 on playoff team while playing 4 games less than Ball - and he's not there as well. Fake outrage.

Dec 27, 2021 · Ball fits more seamless into more situations and on more rosters. Ironically Wolves too. Ball would would fit better with Russell and Towns. Wolves however had to gamble on higher upside Edwards. Both teams got it right. Good thing for NBA, Warriors got it wrong. Imagine Warriors with Ball (or Edwards if Wolves went Ball).

Ball will be reevaluated in one week to determine if he can return to game action. Ball has had an All-Star caliber season as he's averaging a career best 28.2 points to go with 5.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists this season.
