David Platt (also Tilsley) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Coronation Street. He was born on-screen during the episode broadcast on 26 December 1990. He was played by Thomas Ormson from his first appearance until 15 March 2000 when Ormson left.

David Platt (previously Tilsley) is Gail Chadwick's youngest son, half-brother of Nick Tilsley and Sarah Platt, husband of Shona and father of Max and Lily through his deceased first wife, Kylie.

He is known for portraying the role of David Platt on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street since 2000. For his portrayal of David, he has won various awards, including the British Soap Award for Villain of the Year in 2008 and Best Actor in 2018.
