As I see it you have to make a decision as to which version to build, an XM25 or an M25. Building an XM25 will require certain parts, the most difficult of which to locate will be the BPTco.

Nov 25, 2019 · A Mitch built XM25 “civilian version” was on gunbroker 3 months back, I communicated thru Sweeney, who relayed that Mitch did build it in the early 2000s. I decided to pass and commission a build thru Wolfe, because of the civilian feature. May be helpful to find the auction, still on my watch list so accessible, for the pics.

Aug 1, 2024 · The goal of this project was to build a replica of the final version of the U.S. Army 10th Special Forces Group (SFG) M25 rifles made at Ft. Devens, circa 1993-94 by SFC Tom Kapp and other 10th SFG armorers. This replica of a ‘late’ M25 variant is relatively obscure, so I am including some historical info for anyone interested.

Dec 25, 2020 · This suppressor capability was not a "Big Army" requirement, but worth mentioning in the context of the M24 and M14 rifle at that time. This picture was taken in Feb 1991 at Ft Devens, MA (10th SFG at the time), and shows a Navy/Crane small arms engineer testing a suppressed XM25 rifle as part of their evaluations for a light sniper rifle.
