Mar 27, 2024 · Hi, I’m experiencing the same issue. I uninstalled the WPS Office app, but WPS Photos still has access to my computer. Specifically, it still gives me the option to view pictures using WPS Photos. Additionally, I’m unable to find the app in my Apps Settings, so I can’t remove it. Please advise.

The problem is that the icons for Office-related documents (docx, xlsx, pptx) are still the WPS Office icons. See for yourself; So I wondered WPS was set to be the default software to open these files.

Apr 22, 2021 · After i pick up my laptop from service center, they install WPS on it, all files icon related to ms.office is using wps icon, and after i unistall it, the file now show white blank icon ( all files related to ms.office ), but i can open it with ms.office apps, but it kind of disturb me to keep see those files it that state, please help.

I want to make sure that this free office software is actually a safe to down load and trusted by microsoft or do I need to remove this software?
