Jorge Luis Mateo (born June 23, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball shortstop for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the San Diego Padres. He made his MLB debut in 2020.

Jan 29, 2025 · On Tuesday, Baltimore announced that it agreed to terms with infielder/outfielder Jorge Mateo on a 2025 contract that includes an option for the '26 season. The 29-year-old was the only arbitration-eligible O’s player who did not settle prior to the Jan. 9 deadline to do so.
