Gaijin. Fix the FV4005 - General Discussion - War Thunder
Mar 16, 2024 · The damn tank that ripped the turret CLEAN off the Hull of a Centurion, and Vaporized the internals of a Conqueror THROUGH spaced armor, is NOT going to do stuff like this. I mean smacking a Panther in the turret front? does nothing 99% of the time, Hitting a IS-3’s front plate? Which is EXACTLY what the 183mm gun was designed to deal with? Takes one …
Please for the Love of God Fix the FV4005 - War Thunder
Mar 25, 2024 · The electronic circuit boards may not be modelled but the functions of the electronics are, the stabilisers, assisted turret traverse, semi-automatic gearboxes and autoloaders are there and could be damaged and have their capability hindered or disabled after a HESH hit. i understand the time it would take to make such a thing function in-game ...
FV4005 and Conway, Both on a Centurion Mk.3 chassis, All 3 …
Jul 5, 2024 · I was doing some digging and saw that the FV4004 Conway and FV4005 both use the Centurion Mk.3 Hull. However the Conway, FV4005 and Centurion Mk.3 all use the same hull, so why are their speeds different?, FV4005 being the slowest (17.4 mph) Centuion Mk.3 being in the middle (21.5 mph) and Conway being the fastest (23.2 mph), but these were all the same …
FV4005 - Is there any logic to how HESH works? - War Thunder
Jan 6, 2025 · the crazy thing is that HESH should work better at close range because of the kinetic energy needed to “pancake” the shell correctly, which in the case of the 165mm and 183mm probably would act like a SAP HE shell on lighter armour just from the sheer mass, yet lighter stuff seems to survive hits incredibly well, Ive had BMP-3s eat direct hits and continue …
FV4005 Stage I suggestion - Ground Vehicle - War Thunder
Jul 30, 2023 · The FV4005 Stage I was the predecessor in its program to the Stage II we currently see in-game, the primary differences being it trades the turret “armor” in favor of an autoloader for the 183mm HESH launcher enabling the vehicle to fire around 6 rounds per minute. This could be a nice little addition to the British tree, perhaps foldered with the FV4005 Stage II? let me know …
Something is wrong with the 183 mm QF L4A1 of the FV4005
6 days ago · A few weeks ago, I obtained the FV4005. I think it’s a good vehicle, but the performance of its cannon disappointed me. In fact: It struggles to damage the Tiger H1 from the sides and from the rear. It has happened to me several times that when shooting a Tiger I from the side, the shot only damaged the track. Today, I shot a Tiger I 2 times and didn’t get the kill. …
Fv4005 has been restored! Maybe gaijin can update the ... - War …
Jul 7, 2024 · FV4005 was a possible stopgap tank9 before the final vehicle was finished, similar to how the Caernarvon No it was not. It was purely a test bed for the “discount” engineeringly simplified version of the 183mm gun after the semi-auto loaded version was dropped.
Fv4005 has been restored! Maybe gaijin can update the ... - War …
Jul 5, 2024 · FV4005 was a test mule not meant for production. There would have been no reason to put a AA mount on it. No matter how much you would like one for your video game tank. But find a photo of it out on the range or doing tests that shows a gun on top.
Please for the Love of God Fix the FV4005 - War Thunder
Mar 25, 2024 · The FV4005 HESH shell is comedically underpowered it won’t even kill a Sherman jumbo with a hit on the machine gun port consistently. The gun ripped a conqueror hull in half for goodness sake where did you get the tiny T…
Please for the Love of God Fix the FV4005 - War Thunder
Mar 29, 2024 · The FV4005 is a giant waste of time. The RL tank was explicitly designed to kill the IS-3 frontally and fired a 144cm tall, 72kg HESH shell at 716m/s. In trials the gun could penetrate 60-degree sloped plate, 6 inches (152 mm) thick, at up to 2,000 yards (1,830 meters).
