If the emperor refuses, you get a PU CB on ALL the electors, which is insanely OP. My experience is the emperor will let you in, even if you piss them off. Part two below.

May 27, 2023 · long story short, only human player France and human player Austria have any chance to get Burgundy “pretty much guaranteed”. Even then, Charles might live to 1500. with other nations, including Castile, your best start is Burgundy rivalling Austria *and* France. Even with this, I’d say your chance is around 20%.

The idea that Burgundy would choose to fall under someone like Oldenburg is just historically implausible. Taking the above into account, I would strongly propose the following changes for the BI:

Jan 2, 2016 · It is kind of a shame. A full-strength Burgundy forming covering Burgundy, the Low Countries and the Franco-German border was in 1444 a fairly plausible scenario. It didn't fall apart due to inherent instability, it fell apart because Charles the Bold was perhaps a bit too bold especially when it came to fighting Swiss pikemen.
