Dec 4, 2015 · I am using Bing Desktop and it works well for searches, desktop backgrounds, and local weather. It's great! I am unable to view any "Top News", "Trending", or "Trending Images" items. All I get is the five swinging dots (the Microsoft brand image) that never resolves. I don't know if this is a Bing issue, a proxy server issue, or a firewall issue.
Bing news scroll bar no longer showing on homepage
When I go to the Bing homepage (bing.com) on my Chrome browser, I no longer am shown the Bing news scroll bar at the bottom of the page. Where did it go? This problem has persisted for two days and my computer is updated, chrome is up-to-date, etc. I also cannot see the box that provides more information about the Bing daily picture.

Mar 3, 2023 · Turning off the news feed from the start page is currently not possible. However, you can get rid of it with a simple tweak. Go to Settings and change the Open with option to new tab page. New tab pages don’t show the news feed by default, so this setting will hide it on browser launch.

I have also gone into the Settings (coghweel) - MORE - HOMEPAGE - CUSTOMIZE- untick News and Interests - SAVE and then restart computer but the save is not saved. What am l missing here - thanks - -
