It has a foaming action when it is applied to engine parts, and is highly effective in cleaning of all Grease, Dirt and Grime built up on components and cleans with very little elbow grease! Sad news, we cannot find it anywhere any longer.

Dec 22, 2008 · Assemble the engine(or pull if already in car) Block the intake and exhaust with plates. Soda blast the engine going right over the new seals. Tape up intake and waterpump, etc. VHT primer VHT paint Pull tape Install water pump and carb. Get up to temp ignoring the smell of the paint curing. Simple, quick, cheap.

May 1, 2006 · I was at Brothers car show in calif. and there was a guy with a drag type car all polished al. 6/71 blower and valve covers and more and the night b4 he was doing a quick clean with a caustic cleaner and he was spending the whole time at the show trying to bing back the shine to some major aluminum poeces, kinda sad but he was taking it in good spirtits.

Apr 1, 2009 · Obviously the best way to clean the inside of the transmission is to completely disassemble it, and clean the parts, and put it back together. I would not run the transmission with kerosene, or another solvent. I would think it would be difficult to get it all back out if the bearings, and leave then not lubricated properly.

May 27, 2008 · SODa Blast is the best,seconded by ultrasonic bath cleaning. If theres an aircraft maintenance place near you they may have the ultrasonic. Bead blasting on heads and manifolds is crazy.you get grit into everything. These are rare mercedes 6.3 heads after being soda blasted.

Nov 8, 2016 · I use Simple Green HD Pro on aluminum engine parts all the time and it works great. It is only available at Home Depot and is purple in color. I've soaked aluminum heads and blocks in it and they came out nice and clean and it doesn't discolor the aluminum.
