Cristian Gabriel Romero (born 27 April 1998) [4] is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the Argentina national team. Coming through the youth system, Romero began his senior career in 2016 at Belgrano .

Cristian Romero joined us from Atalanta in August, 2021. Named vice-captain and a leader at the back, 'Cuti' enjoyed a fine 2023/24 campaign. He certainly made an immediate impact in our opener at Brentford, where he scored the first goal of the Ange Postecoglou era in a 2-2 draw.
