Dec 20, 2023 · I don't recall the book mentioning chess or chess pieces. If you Google "The Count of Monte Cristo chess", there are examples of people reading too much into what is a light, popcorn-movie. Some people try to attribute overly-profound meanings to it and make it sound deeper than it really is. Reading that stuff is also good for a few laughs.
A question about the ending of The Count of Monte Cristo, and
Nov 22, 2013 · The count of monte cristo (2002) looks like a bad copy of Odyssey by Homer. It seems they want to transport Homer to 19th century France and have changed the names. Edmond would be a copy of Odysseus, Albert a copy of …
The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) the perfect modern movie
Jun 18, 2018 · No, I am not trying to say that this movie is overly deep or trying to say something. There are auteurs who deliver works that are more raw, genuine and personal. But, considered in the lens (ha ha) of a well made, dramatic revenge tale, I honestly can't think of one that tries to do more. What does The Count of Monte Cristo offer? Action. Romance.
