Thor is a character in the upcoming 2022 video game God of War Ragnarök based on the god Thor in Norse mythology. In September 2021, the character's design was revealed with Thor given a bulky body type similar to that of a strongman rather than the lean physique of Thor in Marvel Comics and the MCU, which sparked online debates and memes.

Many fans were excited to see him in the game, but since he's designed in a way that many viewers didn't find conventionally attractive (he looks like Fat Thor, but way cooler), there's been some controversy over him, and lots of memes already refer to his new role in the franchise.
