North Korea said on Sunday (July 13, 2025) it stands ready to take military action to counter any security threat against it in a warning against the United States, South Korea and Japan following a recent aerial drill by the allies with a U.S. strategic bomber.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea, the United States and Japan pledged to continue working together toward the complete denuclearization of North Korea, amid discussions about a possible shift in the role of U.

Relations between Russia and North Korea have flourished in recent years, with North Korea supplying troops and ammunition to support Russia's war against Ukraine in return for military and economic assistance.
