Russia appears to be "addicted" to military spending to keep its economy propped up, a think tank said this week.

President Donald Trump says his administration has already had “very serious” discussions with Russia about its war in Ukraine and that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin could soon take “significant” action toward ending the grinding conflict.

The United States may present a plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine as early as next week. This is likely to happen at the Munich Security Conference, scheduled for February 14-16, Bloomberg reports.
