Officials at the Outer Banks are reminding North Carolina beach visitors that it’s foal season for the wild horses along the coast.

A 26-year-old was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe when 5-year-old stallion Alexander was hit and killed, according to Currituck County deputies and the Corolla Wild Horse Fund.
