July 16 is National Hot Dog Day, and while much of the focus will be on the meat (maybe deservedly so), let’s take a moment to appreciate the bun. After all, just as you can’t have darkness without light, yin without yang and Brooks without his Brothers, you can’t have a hot dog without a bun. Call it the tao of the frankfurter.
