In the first round, Duke's Cooper Flagg was the No. 1 overall pick, going to Dallas, followed by Rutgers' Dylan Harper going No. 2 to San Antonio. Baylor's VJ Edgecombe went third to Philadelphia, and Duke's Kon Knueppel was selected fourth by Charlotte. Rutgers' Ace Bailey rounded out the top five by going to Utah.
