NORWICH, Conn. (WFSB) - A worker died after a trench collapse on Friday afternoon. The collapse happened on Hamilton Court in Norwich. The job was permitted. Channel 3 got a hold of the work permits.

The collapse happened Friday evening along Hamilton Court. After being extracted from the hole, Michael Dirocco was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Norwich police and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are now investigating the workplace death.
