The problem is their inferior storage options mean it is just a $30 difference between the 64GB iPhone 8 Plus and 128GB iPhone 7 Plus - a tricky choice for some.

The iPhone 8 Plus isn’t exactly cheap and cheerful, starting at £699/$699 for the 64GB edition; but the XS is a true premium option, adding £300/$300 at each storage tier.
