The Senate is holding a marathon amendment voting session Monday after Republicans advanced President Donald Trump's legislative agenda over the weekend. A final vote on the bill is not expected anytime soon.

A new analysis showing the legislation would be far more expensive than the House version could complicate its chances of final passage in that chamber, where fiscal hawks have said the cost must not grow.

Amid a budget bill battle on Capitol Hill, an obviously frustrated U.S. Sen. John Fetterman told reporters that he wants “to go home” and lamented missing a family vacation. “Oh, my god, I just want to go home,” Fetterman told reporters on Monday. “I’ve missed our entire trip to the beach.”
