Chris Evans seemingly feels left out as Avengers: Doomsday continues to film. The actor who originated the Captain America role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is weighing in on not being part of the next chapter of the Avengers saga. “I mean, it’s sad to be away. It’s sad to not be back with the band,” Evans told ScreenRant.

The MCU would undoubtedly not be the franchise titan we know it as today if not for the work of Chris Evans, who played Captain America with passion and righteousness for the better part of 10 years during the Infinity Saga.

After playing superhero Steve Rogers/ Captain America in three standalone films and four Avengers movies, Evans left the franchise in 2019' s Avengers: Endgame and passed the mantle of Captain America over to Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson.
