The Celtics could pursue a disabled player exception for Jayson Tatum but it's unlikely to help them with their current conundrum.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Celtics are “most definitely listening to trade calls” involving Holiday. Holiday turns 35 on Thursday, June 12. He still has three years remaining on his contract, making him both a tricky hold for the Celtics but also a tricky acquisition for another team.

The Boston Celtics saw their season come to an end in the second round of the playoffs against the New York Knicks. Unfortunately, that series loss also came with Jayson Tatum tearing his Achilles in Game 4.
