Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has lodged a strong protest with the Indian Government over the ‘false and fabricated’ comments and statements being made by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Bangladesh lodged a protest with India's acting envoy over 'false and fabricated comments' by ex-prime minister Sheikh Hasina, calling it a hostile act. Her speech from India incited vandalism, including setting her father's house on fire.

The development comes a day after Hasina's speech on Wednesday night in which she called upon the countrymen to organise a resistance against the current regime.

Bangladesh on Thursday formally protested to India over the activities of ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during her stay in the country, labeling them as provocative. Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain stated that the Indian Deputy High Commissioner was summoned in the absence of the High Commissioner and handed a protest note.

Bangladesh has lodged a strong protest against what it calls 'hostile acts' of Sheikh Hasina towards the country. Notably, this follows after protestors burnt Hasina's father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's house in Dhaka.

On Wednesday evening, an excavator smashed down the house of Hasina's late father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who is also Bangladesh's founding president. The structure had been repurposed into a museum.

The interim government in Bangladesh has accused ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina of triggering the demolition at Dhanmondi-32, condemning the act as "unexpected and undesirable". In a statement, the Chief Adviser's Press Wing said,
