JetBlue Airways has issued a travel alert covering 16 airports across the Mid-Atlantic and New England for travel Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 5 and 6. Southwest Airlines has issued a travel advisory covering 15 airports in the Midwest and Northeast for travel Thursday, Feb. 6.

Dry and cloudy conditions will remain in place for the rest of our Wednesday, with a wintry mix of precipitation moving in overnight, potentially creating some slick travel conditions for our Thursday morning commute.

The National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory at 3:54 a.m. on Thursday in effect until 7 a.m. for Lawrence, Beaver, Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.
