WASHINGTON (7News) — Plan for a damp, cloudy and cool Father's Day in the DC area due to a stalled boundary over Virginia.

Showers and storms will turn more numerous in the afternoon and evening. A few severe storms are possible, along with flash flooding.

Friday will remain hot to round out the week, but it will also be more humid with chances of severe afternoon storms.

Occasional showers and storms are likely for the foreseeable future with a few strong storms and flooding downpours possible.
