September 25, 2024 at 9:16am BST. A glamping retreat at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in Newcastle has been awarded a five-star accommodation grade by Tourism Northern Ireland.

As tourist attractions go, the Mourne Mountains are a must-see for many people along with the Guinness Store in Dublin, Titanic Belfast, and the Giants Causeway on the North Coast.

They were part of a large group of scouts from Dublin who were in the "water slabs area" when two of them fell. Mourne Mountain Rescue Team said one person sustained "potentially serious injuries".
