On Friday, Taylor Swift announced she now owns all the music she has ever made. This reported US$360 million acquisition includes all the master recordings to her first six albums, music videos, concert films, album art, photos and unreleased material.

Swift lost control of the masters when Braun snapped them up from the pop diva’s former label. She made her dissatisfaction with the deal known publicly; Braun sold the recordings to Shamrock for roughly $300 million, but Swift complained Braun would still benefit from her work.

In a letter posted on her website on Friday, Swift announced that she had bought the masters, or original recordings, of her first six albums from Shamrock Capital nearly six years after her former record label, Big Machine Records, sold them to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings in what she described at the time as her “worst case scenario.”
