Contract issues can make or break rosters, and if a superstar feels they are being undervalued, they will often strong arm their way into a new deal before they take the field. That appears to be the case for Pittsburgh Steelers star pass rush T.J. Watt.

Watt's deal in 2021 made him the highest-paid defender in the NFL. However, that isn't the case anymore. Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett reset the market with a whopping four-year, $204.8 million extension, and stars such as Danielle Hunter, Nick Bosa and Maxx Crosby each are earning $34 million or more annually.

After getting a deal done with Aaron Rodgers to provide some stability at the quarterback position, the Pittsburgh Steelers now have another contract situation on their hands involving T.J. Watt.
