City Council Vice President Helena Moreno is calling for a redo after some polling sites ran out of ballots in a rare Louisiana election.

WDSU has received multiple calls and complaints from voters stating that polling places have already run out of ballots as of 10 a.m.

A rare election is underway today across five Southeast Louisiana parishes — and some voters say they weren't given the chance to cast a ballot.

Voters tell WWL Louisiana that paper ballots ran out at polling sites in Algiers, Metairie, and New Orleans East.
