T he body of an overdue hiker was found and recovered in Rocky Mountain National Park this week. Recovery efforts took place Thursday for the 66-year-old female from Fort Collins, who National Park officials believe suffered an apparent fall near Chasm Lake.

Rocky Mountain National Park announced on Friday that Old Fall River Road, which closed for the winter on Oct. 8, has opened for the season, offering visitors an up-close look at the high country.
