Graham Workman column: USA MigrantThe duck in question was a Ring-necked Duck. As you can see from the photo I took the male Ring-necked Duck (which this one was) is a sharply marked bird of gleaming black, grey, and white.
Just keep all food to yourself so they don't follow you around. It's also possible to see Hooded Mergansers, Ring-necked Ducks, Wild Turkeys, Pied-billed Grebe, Wood Storks, or Little Blue Herons.
