Parrot Island is set to begin the first phase of its expansion this summer, as part of a 10-year masterplan. To kick off Phase One, new slides will start being put together sometime next week.

In March, Parrot Island Waterpark announced its two-part expansion with four of five new slides, purchased by Fort Smith for $4.2 million, expected to be installed at the park.

Parrot Island says that "Phase One" of the development is expected to begin later this summer, with four of the slides and a new shaded area that will host an additional 600 guests being built.
