Filing will soon open in Honea Path for candidates interested in running for the mayoral seat left vacant by former Mayor Christopher Burton.

Fulton County Commissioners approved an ordinance Monday that would split Richland Township into two precincts, east and west, in an attempt to balance voter numbers by precinct.
