Norway’s red, white, and blue flag isn’t entirely unique—lots of countries use the same color scheme—but the Scandinavian country’s standard contains multitudes.

They chose to display the flag of Norway—blue and white Nordic crosses on a red background—to recognize the Norwegian heritage of Kjersten Offenbecker’s grandfather.
