In less than a week, the new Switch 2 console has become the "fastest-selling" hardware globally for Nintendo, as the company reported 3.5 million units were sold in just four days.
The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 has set a new benchmark in gaming following its June 5 launch, selling more than 3.5 million units worldwide.
Now, the company is trying to do it again with the Switch 2. Ahead of the new console’s launch on June 5th, The Verge is looking back at the various ways that Nintendo has changed over the last eight years and how those changes might continue into its next generation.
The Switch 2’s Joy-Con controllers have undergone some tinkering. As before, you can attach them to the sides of the screen if you’re playing on the go. If you’re at home, you can attach them to a doohickey that feels more like a traditional joystick. Either way, they’re now more firmly connected with magnets, which provide a satisfying snap.
