Jake Garcia, a well-traveled signal-caller who spent last year at East Carolina, has signed with the Wolverines as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining, sources confirmed to CBS Sports/247Sports' Matt Zenitz.

The Wolverines have added another quarterback, Jake Garcia, from the transfer portal. This will be the fourth program in five years for the 6-foot-3, 203-pound Garcia, who most recently played for East Carolina. Michigan announced his commitment on Monday.

After a brief stint with Missouri, Garcia entered the transfer portal and ended up at East Carolina, where he spent the 2024 season. Garcia received the most amount of playing time in his career last season, and he ended the year 109/181 for 1,462 yards, eight touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
