Max is still in a coma when Stranger Things season 5 begins and, as Vecna returns and launches a new attack on Hawkins, things are looking more dire.

When season 4 of Stranger Things came to a close, Max was left in critical condition. Her body was broken, her vision gone, and her heart stopped until Eleven intervened.

While Quinn doesn’t appear in the “Stranger Things” season 5 trailer, there is a nod to Eddie in the teaser. Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) kneels in front of Eddie’s tombstone, which has been vandalized with the words “Burn in Hell.”
