Malaria merozoite surface proteins (MSPs), are thought to have important roles in red blood cell (RBC) invasion and their exposure on the parasite surface makes them attractive vaccine candidates.

Over thirty promising, young Utrecht researchers will receive a Veni grant of up to 320,000 euros from the Dutch Research Council (NWO). 1 in 7 Venis went to Utrecht researchers this year.
