An extra step has been added to the verification process when using Google prompts. After tapping on “Yes, it’s me,” you’ll be asked for a fingerprint, PIN, or other 2FA method to proceed.

Since Android TV is just Android under the hood, it treats the owner’s Google account login as a persistent one, allowing them to automatically log in to allowed apps from the Play Store.

For Samsung TVs, this OS is called Tizen, for LG TVs, it’s webOS, and for brands like Sony, TCL, and Hisense, it used to be called Android TV, but now (for the most part) it’s called Google TV.
