Richard Lee Gathercole, 39, of Roundup, Montana, has been identified as the AK-47 bandit who robbed banks in California and several other states.

A grand jury indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle charges Richard Lee Gathercole, 39, with bank robbery and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
