The trompe l’oeil insect wallpaper will be on view from Nov. 13 to July 10 as part of “Wonder,” one of the inaugural reopening exhibitions for the Renwick Gallery.

Eye spy. The design for a new artificial eye (illustrated) is based on the structure of the human eye. At the back of the eyeball, a synthetic retina is embedded with nanoscale light sensors.
