A new state law requires every public and charter school to have at least one automated external defibrillator (AED) on campus.

Governor Ron DeSantis appointed state senator Blaise Ingoglia to the role during a news conference in Tampa on Wednesday.

Ingoglia said his initial goals will include focusing on property taxes, housing affordability and local spending.
