But in a conference call with analysts this week, Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Bob Iger revealed Disney has greater plans for its streaming service than for it to be just a library for its movies.

The most obvious one is that Disney has taken control of the biggest back catalogs in entertainment: 20th Century Fox’s film archive, and 20th Century Fox Television’s well of TV shows.

Both scripted and non-scripted shows will be made for Snapchat in the coming year. As Reuters notes, Disney and Snapchat joined forces earlier this year to make a Live Story of the Academy Awards.
