Aldermen will hold a hearing “to examine the extent of ICE’s misconduct and determine whether the Chicago Police Department played any role in (Wednesday’s) actions.”

Chicago alders say masked ICE agents did not identify themselves nor inform attorneys why individuals were being detained or where they were going. The other side: ICE sent a statement to NBC 5 saying the agency had " final orders of removal " signed by a judge for those detained.

It was a tense scene near 22nd Street and Michigan Avenue Wednesday as demonstrators confronted ICE agents carrying out an enforcement operation.
