Harris Yulin, the acclaimed character actor who starred in films including Scarface and Ghostbusters II, has died. He was 88. Over the course of his career, the California-born actor played more than 100 roles on stage and screen, including working extensively on Broadway.

In “Ghostbusters II” (1989), Yulin played a fiery judge who, after reaming out the Ghostbusters and ruling that they be sent to Rikers Island, faces a ghostly attack from the spirits of the Scoleri brothers, criminals he sent to the electric chair.

Harris Yulin, a prolific Emmy-nominated actor whose career spanned more than five decades across film, television, and stage, died Tuesday of cardiac arrest in New York City. He was 88.
