Luxury fashion house Prada and commercial space company Axiom Space have unveiled the designs for a spacesuit that will be worn on the moon as early as 2026.

The first woman on the moon will be wearing a Prada space suit, as part of NASA's first human mission to the lunar South Pole. The suit has been designed for NASA's Artemis III,  planned for 2026.

Together with NASA and Axiom Space, Prada is pioneering a new era in space exploration with a spacesuit designed for protection, flexibility, and comfort.

A new spacesuit for NASA's Artemis III mission to the moon in September 2026 was unveiled Wednesday in Milan, Italy, featuring a "next-generation design" by Axiom Space and luxury fashion house Prada.

Last October, Axiom Space and Prada partnered to create a new spacesuit for NASA's Artemis III mission — it's first crewed venture to the moon since Apollo 17 in 1972. One year later, the pair has revealed a first look at the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) spacesuit during Milan's International Astronautical Congress.

When NASA astronauts return to the moon for the first time in more than 50 years, they will do so in style.
