Anthony Davis made his highly anticipated return for the Dallas Mavericks on Monday after being sidelined by a lingering adductor injury. The 10-time All-Star, however, sat out on Tuesday on the second night of a back-to-back set.

The Mavs acquired Davis from the Lakers in the Luka Doncic trade. Dallas also landed Max Christie and a future first-round pick. AD was the prized acquisition in giving up Doncic, however. Yet, Davis has appeared in just over 30 minutes of a game with the Mavs, as he suffered an injury in his first contest with the team.

The team announced Anthony Davis, the superstar forward who was the centerpiece of the Luka Doncic trade, had been assigned to the Texas Legends, the Mavericks' G-League team, to continue his rehab. Davis suffered an adductor injury in his first game in Dallas and has not played since February 8.
