An American Airlines flight was caught on camera leaving a trail of smoke soon after it departed from Las Vegas. The plane, an Airbus A321 headed for North Carolina, was only in the air for about 10 minutes before it reported engine trouble and turned back to Harry Reid International Airport around 8:20 a.

American flight 1665, operating on an Airbus A321, was heading for Charlotte Douglas International Airport at 8:20 a.m. local time when it had to return to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, according to the Federal Aviation Administration’s preliminary statement. The FAA is investigating.
